Description
Pheasant, any of several long tailed gallinaceous game fowl, especially the Phasianus colchicus in Britain and the tufted grouse in the United States. This bird provides large amounts of protein, iron, phosphorus, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid and vitamin B-6. It contains less lipids and calories than chicken.
