Peach
Peach
Description
The peach is a sweet, tart, pinkish-yellow fruit of the peach tree - a drupe called the Prunus persica. This fruit is a good source of potassium and provitamin A carotenoids.
Available from May to October, with peak supplies in July and August.
Note: A bright, fresh appearance with a yellowish or creamy background signifies a good quality peach. Green ground color suggest the peach was immature when picked and will not ripen well.Caloric Content
