Growth Hormone (GH, Somatotropin)

Growth hormone (GH, somatotropin) is any substance stimulating growth, especially one secreted by the pituitary which exerts a direct effect on protein, carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, and controls the rate of skeletal and visceral growth.

It increases the synthesis of sonmatomedins in the liver.
