Polyneuritis

Polyneuritis or multiple neuritis is a simultaneous inflammation of a large number of the spinal nerves, marked by paralysis, pain, and wasting of muscles.

Nutritional polyneuropathy is associated with polyneuritis and is a disorder of multiple peripheral nerves. It is noted in beriberi, chronic alcoholism, and other clinical states characterized by vitamin B-1 deficiency.
