Description
The grapefruit is a large, yellow-rind citrus fruit of the Citrus Paradisi, also called the grapefruit tree or pomelo. This fruit is particularly high in vitamin C and is a fair source of potassium.
Available throughout the year, with peak supplies from January through April.
Note: Fruit should be firm but springy to the touch, well-shaped and heavy for its size. Relatively heavy fruits generally will be thin-skinned and contain more juice.
