Description
The persimmon is the tartly-sweet, plumlike fruit of the Diospyros Virginiana, native of North America.
Persimmon's are an excellent source of fiber and provitamin A carotenoids. This fruit also contains significant amounts of potassium, manganese and vitamin C.
Available from October through December.
