Description
The pomegranate, also called the Chinese apple is the fruit of the Punica Granatum. The skin is red and smooth with a juicy, spongy-soft, white membrane enclosing clusters of crimson, jewel-like seeds. This fruit supplies a good amount of potassium and a fair amount of vitamin C.
Available from August through December with peak supply in October.
