Description
Pinyon is the edible seed of any of various low-growing North American pines, such as Pinus parryana, P. cembroides, P. edulis, and P. monophylla.
As with all nuts, pinyon is a concentrated source of vegetable protein, fiber, and vitamin E; with the dietary drawback of being high in lipids and calories.
