Description
Alfalfa sprouts, the young shoots of the forage lucerne named alfalfa. The sprouts are low in calories and are consumed as a roughage.
Available throughout the year.
Note: A good rule of thumb is to care for sprouts like mushrooms or freshberries. Never ice sprouts as they will freeze quickly.
